Living a Christ-filled life while being surrounded by every conceivable sin that satan can throw at you is not easy. Everywhere you look; you see lust, homosexuality, theft, assault, battery, vanity, and vulgarity, just to name a few. In the middle of all this madness and darkness that makes up prison life, Mr. Tom Matlock brings us "Insight for Inmates".
Through the testimonies of guest and ministry in song, the Holy Spirit uses this Prison Ministry mightily. It brings the power of a loving and forgiving Savior to anyone 
who is seeking true freedom from a life of bondage to the sin. Everytime I witness someone turning their lives over to the Lord, my soul shouts for joy. I recognize this as a sign that even in this den of iniquity, God is still in control of all things.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit through "Insight for Inmates" gives me hope for a much better tomorrow. I have found a freedom through Christ, even behind the razor wire, that no one can take from me. I now know, that I can overcome any adversity that the evil one places in my way because of the power of JESUS CHRIST.
"Insight for Inmates" gives me the lift that every Christian needs to stay strong in Christ. You can see the love and glory of God shining in the eyes of each of the volunteers that accompany Mr. Matlock into this stronghold of evil. Their testimonies tell of the forgiveness and power of the living God. I start counting the days after I see the posters go up annnouncing the dates that Insight for Inmates will be here. I know that I am going to get that very needed battery boost from the Holy Spirit that will keep me alive in Christ.
I look forward to the next invasion of "Insight for Inmates" into this confinement facility. The ability to praise and glorify God in song, and the hearing of a Holy Spirit filled ministry is an honor that only God could make available. I praise God that he has made a way for this prison ministry to be allowed in this prison. My prayers are that everyone in this prison will give their lives to God. I know that our Lord Jesus Christ will continue to use "Insight for Inmates" for His purpose, and will work great things in the lives of those who accept him. With my whole heart I thank Tom Matlock for his efforts and dedication to this ministry. He has allowed the Holy Spirit to help him show each of us a light at the end of a dark tunnel. May the Holy Spirit continue to show through "Insight for Inmates" that the only true way to change lives is through Jesus Christ. I shout with a singing heart, that I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
